<p>M3S Surveys have been involved in carrying out measured surveys in Poland over the last 5 years. These range from residential property, hotels to large historical sites in cities including Kraków, Warsaw, Gdańsk, Katowice, Wrocław, Łódź and Kielce plus many smaller towns and rural areas. Our primary method of survey is via laser scanning. This allows the team to collect large amounts of data to create a point cloud. From the point cloud the M3S team can create measured survey drawings and 3D models. Our measured surveys include floor plans, elevations, cross sections and Revit models. Our team that is located in Poland can be on site within short notice. <p>Our clients in Poland and the UK clients also receive TruViews via the Leica LGS format &#8211; these can viewed with a free piece of software from Leica Geosystems called TruView Viewer (PC only).  This allows each scan station on site to be visited from your desktop, mark up and take measurements along with the ability to insert an IFC file within the LGS point cloud version of the export. <p>The M3S team have spent years using and improving our work flows for laser scanning &amp; measured surveying. From on site, registration software, QC to production for plans, elevations, cross sections, topo and Revit models. In addition to these products the laser scanning data can also be used for the following:</p>
<ul>
<li>Point Cloud (view / import to 3rd party software)</li>
<li>Jet Stream Viewer (desktop viewer that allows the client to visit the site and each scan location with the ability to measure etc)</li>
<li>Ortho from Point Cloud (high resolution ortho image can be generated and underlaid in CAD)</li>
<li>LGS (a Leica Geosystems file that can be used in Jet Stream and CloudWorx)</li>
</ul>

<p>The following image and video are a quick snap shot of how many of our clients are using the point cloud data on their local machines &#8211; with out the need of a fancy PC or expensive software they can view, measure and take snap shots from the point cloud. This has proven extremely valuable asset for all of the professional services we supply data for. The LGS Jet Stream Viewer (free software) can load up LGS files very quickly and allow of the key stakeholders simple and instant access to the point cloud and 360 views from each scan station location. Even a simple screen grab from this to aid planning applications has proven highly cost effective.</p>

			<p>Steve started at The Survey School, Worcester in 2016 and graduated July 2018 &#8211; winning the <a href="https://www.rics.org/uk/news-insight/future-of-surveying/talent-skills-and-education/introducing-scan-to-bim/">RICS</a> prize for the Best Measured Building assignment. His assignment was a<a href="https://www.m3s-surveys.com/services/measured-building-surveys/"> measured building survey</a> using <a href="https://www.m3s-surveys.com/services/terrestrial-laser-scanning/">laser scanning</a>.</p>
